18th Street Rye Whiskey

I was not a fan, having had this side by side with other comparably priced whiskey, it lacks depth, which is reasonable given its age. I really wanted to like this given it is local, but I just could not find any redeeming qualities, especially in a crowded market at the $50 price range. This should be $25 max., and I feel silly having had paid $20 a year(I believe this is about 2.5 years old)

Very fig, cranberry taste. I assume it's ~2 years old. Fairly impressed for a brewery (and now distillery) to put out a decent product that isn't MGP, as far as I know. Honestly wouldn't mind buying a 2nd bottle.

Has a hint of cherry. Very spicy. Would make a fantastic old fashioned
