Gem of Kentucky is a double-barreled single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from 2XO ("Two Times Oak"), a brand created be renown American whiskey blender Dixon Dedman. The single barrels of bourbon selected were made with a high-rye mash bill (35%) and spent up to a year in secondary new oak barrels with either a #3 or #4 char. Each barrel will offer a unique flavor profile with the barrel number appearing on the front label. Available as a annual limited edition release beginning November 2023. (SRP $199.99)

Barrel #76. Amazing mouth feel. The sweetness and spice notes are exceptionally balanced. Making you want to take another sip over and over again. You do get a hint of minty herbal notes from the rye, but the sweetness does take over. Almost like a sugary peppermint stick.
Barrel #21: Lots of oak and vanilla on the nose, orange pith, rye spice, more oak and vanilla, coffee cake, cardamom, rye fruitiness hidden behind the oak and vanilla, oily mouthfeel, cherry finish.
Another solid 2XO Blend! Strong oak and caramelized sugar on the nose, heavy oak presence on the nose and real nice medium/long finish. This is my 2nd favorite 2XO (Sneakerhead Blend #1)
The high Rye adds a great holiday taste. Love the heavy oak flavor on this. Very smooth, great to drink. Reminds me of an oaked MWND. Would buy each year.
Gets better everytime I go back to this! The complex nose and flavors are awesome!
