J.P. Wiser's and the NHL Alumni Association (NHLAA) have partnered to create regionally exclusive whiskies. Each one has a unique blend designed to pair with the playing styles of each hockey player honored with a bottle. Guy Lafleur's whisky is "smooth" and made from 100% corn. It aged for 10 years then finished in Speyside, bourbon, and rum barrels. Part of the proceeds from sales will be donated to NHLAA to support their philanthropic ambitions. Exclusive to Canada.

Nez : caramel, sucre d'orge à l'érable, subtil bois de chêne, vanille française, quelques pommes en début de fermentation. Bouche: Caramel et sucre de canne qui se transforme un peu en vanille, suite plus boisée et où l'alcool reprend ses droits. Finale fruitée, pomme mielleuse, poire confites, le tout sur un goût de bois gorgé d'alcool sucré. Texture un peu aqueuse mais soyeuse, facile à boire.
★★★½ Le démon blond En ce soir de scotch improvisé alors que mon terrassement avance bien, j'ai eu le plaisir de découvrir ce whisky canadien bourbon style fait à 100% de maïs. Une chaleur épicée vient rapidement nous enivrer dans un maelstrom électrisant. Exactement la même sensation que j'avais lorsque j'admirais Guy transporter la rondelle. Guy! Guy! Guy!
Tried a sample, this whisky is not available here. I wanted to hate it because, well, Montreal Canadiens but I really liked it. It is easy drinking with and full of toffee and butterscotch lifesaver notes. A warming finish. I don’t know if it is still for sale but it is a good one. Excellent value.
