Distilled at the Knockdhu Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, anCnoc 2001 Vintage is the latest release (March 2016) for the company's range of vintage expressions. After maturing over 15 years in Spanish and American oak casks, this single malt is bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtering or coloring.

Comme toujours, c’est à la hauteur de la réputation d!AnCnoc (et de mon amour pour cette distillerie!). Au goût, c’est presque un cidre, tellement la pomme y est présente! Vraiment unique à mon avis. Assurément une bouteille qui va me faire de la peine de terminer. Est-ce aussi bon que leur incroyable 18 ans ? Je sais pas, mais on n’est pas loin! Bouteille ouverte en 2022-08.
A fantastic whisky, with notes of oak and caramel. I particularly enjoy the apples to the nose that become pears to the palate. The finish has a slight burn, but it's forgiven. This is REALLY good stuff!
A burst of citrus, oak and faint notes of honey. What it lacks in complexity is compensated in terms of balance and flavour. Tasty stuff.
