Nose... Dutch Apple pie, caramel, chocolate, toffee and other dessert notes through and through... Color... Light to medium mahogany.. Taste... Cherry pie, chocolate, Port wine, oats, raisins, and time..... Not thyme, but actual time... Overall.... Just buy this. I don't need to explain it nor push it any harder. It's what you hope for if you've had the general version. This is exactly what a cask should taste like, it just truly brings out the flavor of the wood. An exceptional drink....

2018 Angels Envy Cask Strength Color - Dark Amber Nose - Sweet, Light Burnt Oak notes, vanilla, and caramel. Palate - Caramel and Cola flavors, notably high proof coming through on the palate. Finish - Medium-long finish, heavy oak (right up to the line of bitter oak but not crossing that line), nice "Kentucky Hug." Overall - 4 out of 5 stars. Big flavors in this bourbon. Great special sipping whiskey.
I am digging this one. Its definitely sweet with a brown sugar nose along with something else I can’t quite place at the moment, maybe crembrûlée. On taste I get sweet as well but a depth of flavor is there, kind of a dark fruits note, oak, and I keep thinking of bananas foster flavors with out the bananas. It drinks like a higher proof bourbon, in a good way, and you get a nice Kentucky Hug.
Nose is vanilla, sweetness, a little leather, Green apple and some light ethanol vapors. Palate is sweet and light with some vanilla and light nuttiness and a tiny bit of Barrel. Not much depth. The finish is short with a little bitterness, but it’s fairly smooth. I was excited to try this port finished version, but it was just ok for me.
