Nose: Tropical fruit, honey, citrus, currants, sweet, yeasty, Danish pastry, kid's sweets Palate: Fresh, zesty, orange, citrus, tropical fruit (mango), jelly baby sweets, orchard fruit (peach & apple), black pepper, char, wisp of peat Finish: Long finish. Sweet, char, damp peat, citrus, milk chocolate, candied lemon peel, waxy 1 of 2,661 bottles Vatting of 2015 distilled peated and unpeated whisky Bottled in 2022 Ex-bourbon, 15-months finish in 195 litre Paul Launois wine barriques There's a lovely citrus sweetness, with a backbone of char and hints of damp peat. This is a wee cracker of a dram - youthful, layered and complex for a 7y/o whisky. Came first out of the six drams, with 53% of the final vote for favourite of the night. 94% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky.
