2025 Veterans Whiskey Society barrel pick. Nose is nice punchy rum-soaked fruit, plum, fig, some wheat bran, soil, oak tannin / cigar box, floral honey sweetness. Flavor is a lot of honey and red caramel apple sweetness, some rum tang, white chocolate, a bit of green / lightly roasted coffee beans, some oak wood bite, medium finish. T8ke: 7.6

My store pick was finished in Foursquare rum and tawny port casks and is the fruit-forward flavor bomb you would expect given those finishes with a MGP cask-strength base. The only knock is it could be more viscous and less tannic...
