Banff Ice Summit Vodka

Some days call for vodka. After receiving a sample of Banff Ice Summit Vodka today, it was a sign from the universe to give it a try. Hailing from Alberta, this vodka is distilled 5 times and is made with 100% winter wheat. Truthfully, I had a cringed face "at the ready" as I braced for my nose hairs to be singed off. Luckily, that was unnecessary. It has a very clean nose with a faint sweet grain aroma. Amidst a bit of tingling heat, it has a sumptuous mouthfeel with the slightest bit of tropical fruit and savory (like an echo of a papaya salad). Medium-long ethanol finish with a hint of vanilla. I had fair expectations for this vodka and was pleasantly surprised. I can see this vodka playing well with soda or cocktails like a Moscow Mule. It's decent as an affordable option. 6.75/10
