Imperial Mizunara Cask is of three expressions released in 2024 for Barceló's Rare Blends Collection, each featuring rum reserves aged for an extended time in barrels from different latitudes. Each one is also made with sugarcane sourced from Barceló's own field. Here, selected rums were aged in oak barrels with varying degrees of toast. Then the blend further aged in virgin Japanese oak barrels. (SRP $79.99)

Tons of oak. It's good oak. It's good rum. But it isn't exactly the most sophisticated marriage. Very dry, a bit tannic, and while still very good it's a blend that needed a better blendmaster in charge of it.
