Barrel whiskey aj71 David's dram

Alcohol and some maraschino cherry on the nose. Initial sweet syrup with a smooth brown sugar and quick transition to red hot cayenne that lingers. Kinda Subtle with a quick release. some slight woody undertones. Very sweet and quick transition and fireball finish

Nose is dominated by a molasses-spice note i’d say is the amaro. Darker flavors continue in the tongue with cinnamon, molasses, allspice, clove, leather. Spicy dark finish. I feel the amaro got the better of the whiskey but the result is acceptable.
