Thick viscosity, smoky, good depth. Extra star for the low price. I definitely recommend this but now I can't find it anywhere. This has an amazing viscosity for the price, compared to other lower prices whiskies. Wonderful peatiness and a boatload of complex after tastes. Do yourself a favor and try it. For the price you can't go wrong.
Nose: Dry fruits, honey, caramel, light peat somewhere. Unexpected full body in mouth, bit oily, spicy. Feel stronger that it is, but calm and nice spicy finish. Did not expect it, was prepared for disappointment, but this is really ok, specially for the price.
Pretty good for its price (~£17 for 0.7 liters). A distinct earthy aroma with notes of oakwood and smoked cheese. Full and warm mouthfeel, with a taste of smoked ham spiced with notes of coffee beans transitions into a subtly bitter, smokey aftertaste.
Nose: smoke, vegetables. Palate: nothing, then some sweetness and smoke and light spices after several seconds Finish: herbal, smokey. Coffee. Disappears relwtively quickly. Simple, but still the best Ben Bracken for me so far.
Von den drei Günstig Single Malts von Lidl find ich den Kameraden aus Islay noch am besten, aber so richtig überzeugen konnte er mich dennoch nicht.
Taste Set: Slight sweetness on the nose, barely any smoke. Little tinge immediately on the tongue, sweet with some peat.
