The bottle have a special shape, the sticker is military green, not really attractive but who cares, the cork is very simple and seems cheap. On the nose: green apples, a little smoke, mint, citrus, bubble gum. Palate: reminds me grappa with smoke, saltiness, cinnamon. Smooth and Spicy finish.
About this bottle
BenRiach Peated Quarter Cask is distilled from peated malted barley and fully matured in quarter casks. These smaller casks create a higher wood to whisky ratio during aging, and speeds up the maturation process. Launched in June 2016, it's the first expression to be released since Brown-Forman took over the brand's parent company earlier in the year. This single malt carries no age statement, is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46% ABV.
