Yes, this is a 5 star whisky for sure! Benromach just became my favorite distillery after the changes made to Glendronach. This dram delivers everything I’m expecting from the experience. There’s sweetness, fruits, smoky, tobacco and more… let’s go through it: Nose: butterscotch, tobacco, vanilla, prunes, mesquite BBQ, burnt ends… Palate: salty caramel, BBQ, walnuts Finish: Minty, mentol, refreshing There’s so much going on that is hard to describe! Such a great whisky and for only $69 at 60.6% ABV? Take that, Macallan! See… I just posted I’m a sucker for Macallan, but I need to pay 5 times more for a similar experience… nope! I’d rather get a case of this one! Cheers!
