Served this bourbon for years before I had an understanding of exactly how good it is. The now make their whiskey a in Oregan not Kentucky, but this edition is the last made while in Kentucky. A must own if ever find again!!
About this bottle
Over the years Black Maple Hill has made quite a name for itself as a super premium bourbon that is quite difficult to find, mostly due to its ultra small batch bottlings. The Limited Edition Orange Label is the most readily available from all the 'limited bottlings". When you can find it, BMH will normally run you $35-$40 (well worth it) and it will impress your friends that you have it.

Sweet aroma with hints of honey and caramel. Tad bit of spice. On the palate not as sweet as the smell. Mild caramel remains but sweetness replaced with rye spice and a mild oak flavor. Mild spice on the finish. Good sipper.
My all time favorite bourbon that I've owned. Bought it last year when you would see a bottle here or there, but for the last year has been impossible to find.
Favorite bourbon of mine... Hard to find and retails in my area (Atlanta)for $50. If you see it don't buy it... Call me first.
As one might expect, this delicious bourbon is reminiscent of maple syrup. Smooth as silk and simply yummy!
Paid $30 for a pour in Louisville, not worth that price, but loved the well rounded complexity.
