The @bladnochwhisky 11 year single malt really highlights what a difference the maturation process makes, a decade in the ex bourbon casks has made an absolute cracker! On the nose the sweetness of honey and citrus are refreshing and welcoming. The honey follows through in tasting and an on going peppery taste lingers.

Overall, a much lighter and bread-like whisky than the Vinaya. Some slight notes of berry fruit or kiwi are unusual, but add to the complexity of a fairly tannic spirit. Mild, dry and woody, with a slight spice, this is a Lowland Scotch that represents the style well.
Sweet honeysuckle and Elderflower notes on the back of the tongue. Very smooth and silky. Easy to drink. Ending notes of melted butter and carmel pancakes.
Drinkt goed weg, lichte smaak
