Only spiced rum that I have found to be a decent sipper and not just a mixer. Pleasant balance of coffee and vanilla flavors with just a hint of oak, cloves, sweetness from molasses and something earthy that I haven't figured out yet. Definately deviated from the vanilla and cherry flavors of most spiced rums. Aftertaste is a little disappointing... not much of a bite from the ethanol. Will buy again when I see it. Interested in what cocktails I might be able to enhance with it. Excellent with Coca-Cola, and definitely makes various Mai Tai's better (Royal Hawaiian as the top float rum... would be better if it was a higher proof... more ethanol bite).

I haven’t tried a Brinleys that I haven’t enjoyed. The vanilla and the coffee rums are two of the best rums I’ve ever had. This is no exception. Very good straight up, mixed with soda, or in a piña colada. If you see it in a store buy some as it’s hard to find in the States.
Borderline a sipper. Better than the common spiced rums like Sailors and Captains.
Nice sweet after taste
