About this bottle
Bulleit '87 represents the brand's first new core expression since the introduction of Bulleit 95 Rye in 2011, combining bourbon and rye into a single whiskey. The name honors 1987, the founding year of Bulleit, rather than indicating an age statement. The bourbon component is distilled and aged in Shelbyville, Kentucky, while the rye is distilled and aged in Indiana before being transported to Shelbyville. Both components undergo a minimum of 4 years of aging, followed by a separate finishing period of 4 to 6 weeks with toasted American and French oak staves, prior to blending. The whiskey is bottled at 90 proof and is scheduled for release at select retailers nationwide in September 2026, with an SRP of $29.99.
