About this bottle

This is the third release in The Rare Casks series which first launched in 2020 and just the second release for newly installed Master Blender Alex Thomas. This single malt was made with 100% unpeated Irish malted barley and was triple-distilled on 31st October 1991. After distillation it aged for 13 years and 4 months in hand-selected bourbon and sherry casks. The whiskeys were then married and recasked into a first-fill Madeira wine casks in 2005 for its final years of maturation. It is bottled without chill-filtration at 49% ABV.
