nice and rich and concentrated with smoke, peat and stony notes in more like ardbeg style not that harsh, but not that delicate either

Caisteal Chamuis (Castle Camus in Gaelic) is a blended malt whisky brand from Mossburn Distillers. This is a heavily-peated blend of malt whiskies sourced from the western isles of Scotland. This 12 year old version is initailly aged in refill American oak hogsheads. Then its aged in two types of oloroso sherry seasoned casks -- 230L American oak barrels and 500L European oak butts. It's bottled without added color or chill filtration at 92 proof.
