Caledonian 29-Year-Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) Batch 2 A rich, rare bottling of single grain from the Caledonian distillery, aged for 29 years & independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! The 'Cally' closed its doors for the last time back in1988 & though apartments now live on the site, the massive chimney remains. If you happened to climb to the top of it, you'd be greeted with a stunning view of Edinburgh, just like on this label... Batch 2 is a release of 310 bottles. It has an aromatic birth with notes of vanilla ice-cream topped with fudge sauce & Milkybar Buttons, a hint of banana & melon; while a rich life adds notes of chocolate, a hint of salted pretzel & waxy lime peel; that led to a long, warming death with notes of vanilla & a hint of spicy oak.
