Appearance: The color of this Canadian blend is a khaki or dark gold. Thin and exceedingly viscous legs cling to the interior of the glass. Nose: The nose starts off nice then shows its true colors, but overall, it’s boring. Notes of honey and floral come first, followed by caramel, nail polish remover, and car exhaust. The nose then drops and it becomes hard to detect anything, which probably isn’t a bad thing at this point. Taste: For lack of a better word, it's very smooth. There’s no bite, (which is something their old advertisements hit on often) there's a note of caramel candy, a herbal note mixed with green grapes, then a bitter note toward the end of the swallow. Overall, not bad. Finish: There is a medium length finish with no burn, followed by a grain spirit aftertaste. Thoughts: I feel this whisky could use a higher proof, and that would make it a bit more interesting, but I know there are better things in the world than this. It’s one of the cheaper Canadian whiskies out there, but I would fork over a few more dollars for something higher quality. It is, for the most part, inoffensive but it’s boring. I won’t buy it again and don’t recommend it. Sorry Canadian Hunter. Cheers!

Another stop on my tour of the bottom shelf. Bought the 1.75 L on sale, at VA ABC, for $15.99. Ethanol on the nose led to an unexpected sweetness on the palate. Almost Pecan Twirl like, but with a little alcohol burn. Not bad, but not good enough to replace Benchmark as my daily dram. After this aerates a couple of days, the pecan oiliness increases. Tried a splash of water(something I never do), and it toned the pecan flavor down a little but overly enhanced the sweetness. I don’t dislike it enough to pour it out, but am looking forward to this bottle being empty.
Sweet smell beautiful color, however, one must remember it is a blend of whiskey and added artificial flavor! At very first taste over the lips sweet, then moves to an earthy taste before the SWALLOW it hits you with a woody taste that takes getting use to! Also, for an inexpensive mixer, it is a satisfactory mix w/o killing the cocktail
Meh.... like an extremely watered down Crown Royal. Very boozy smell, with no standout flavors. Barely noticeable when mixed in various cocktails, except giving them a sad boozy taste. However, it is smooth with a slight sweetness and vanilla favor.
Clear, light gold appearance, with fairly uniform alcohol legs. Nose- faint nut oil and sweet corn. Taste- sweet corn, oak, pecan oil, cane sugar, and honey. Light-to-medium body. Moderate finish. RJT
The most delectable Canadian whiskey I’ve ever had. A tickle on the nose with vanilla and caramel, then a bit of refreshing mint as it fades. 10/10, would never buy any other alcohol. ;*
