Blind tasting Nose: hint of smoke Taste: spicy, semi smoky, cask strength which is nice on some sips and strong on others . A little water brings out some of the vanilla of the wood. Prefer it at a lower abv — nice and light, semi sweet, smoky waft Wood: bourbon or new oak Distillery? Could possibly be springbank Bruichladdich

Not as smokey as an Ardbeg in my view. I like to drink all my whiskey with a touch of cold water, however with this one you MUST, in my opinion, drink it with a touch of cold water to enjoy its flavours, otherwise you just lose all the flavours and perfumes in its strenght
nose: sweet peanut , ripe banana, briny sea salt, bonfire taste: spicy ,earthy, barley malt, raisin, fig , fruit cake finosh: long, peaty, salty ash
love this single malt. one of the best caol ila's i've tasted to date. deceptively smooth, even without a touch of water. they picked a good one...
