Cazcanes Nuestras Raíces Edición Especial 2026, meaning "our roots," is an agave distillate, an older spirit category that predates tequila's formal appellation. Humberto Alvarado handcrafted this spirit at a remote Jalisco jungle location using 100% Blue Weber agave, natural spring water, and wild yeast. The agave is cooked in a low-pressure wood fire steam autoclave, then shredded using a 50-year-old salvaged Chevy inline six engine, and finally distilled in a handmade still. Each yearly batch is under 12,000 liters and is bottled at still strength, 96.2 proof. Limited quantities will be available on the brand's website and at select US retailers starting June 2026, with a suggested retail price of $109.99.
