Cutty Sark's 12-year-old Scotch blend is superior to its regular Scotch. It offers exquisite aromas of oak, citrus, caramel, vanilla, and toffee. The smooth entry of this Scotch has a palate with notes of oak, citrus, fig, and toffee. The finish is a perfect blend of toffee, citrus, and a subtle hint of fig. Cutty 12-year-old Scotch is a great choice for mixing with 2 parts water or soda.
About this bottle
Released in the US and the UK in March 2022, this Cutty Sark 12 Year is the first brand extension to be released since parent company La Martiniquaise-Bardinet acquired the brand in 2018 from Edrington. The Scotch whisky blend is aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for 12 years and is then bottled at 80 proof.

Neck pour(s). Kinda reminds me of a liquid lemon honey riccola cough drop with malt and extra honey. Lemon, honey, herbs, spices, malt and hints of nutty sherry on the nose, thick and oily palate and fleeting finish. A little bitterness creeps in near the end.
Bitter citrus and caramel. It's enjoyable for it's price point. Reminds me of Craigelliche 13, has an attitude like it's mad that your drinking it. I would but another bottle.
This bottle was opened in April 2024, but the whisky is very old, as the label and the bottle itself are very different from the current commercially available presentation.
