Dewar's PX Finish 30 Year

Undoubtedly an important whisky, from all points of view and starting from the wonderful bottle and case. Once the heavy metal-coated cap is opened, the nose has notes of dried fruit and dehydrated berries, but also pears and a slight brackish. The palate is a triumph! The texture is thick, almost as if you were eating a cake rather than drinking a whisky: fig jam, coffee, milk chocolate, walnut and almond cake, all with a very powerful sherry undertone. Majestic finish of sherry, with chocolate, nutella, amaretto. Pure poetry, not a discordant note in the aromas that are mixed in this masterpiece. Perfect. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Whisky indubbiamente importante, sotto tutti i punti di vista ed a partire dai meravigliosi bottiglia ed astuccio. Aperto il pesantissimo tappo rivestito in metallo, l’olfatto presenta note di frutta secca e di frutti di bosco disidratati, ma anche di pere ed un leggero salmastro. Il palato è un trionfo! La consistenza è densa, quasi si stesse mangiando una torta più che bevendo un whisky: marmellata di fichi, caffè, cioccolato al latte, torta di noci e mandorle, tutto con un sottofondo di sherry molto potente. Finale maestoso di sherry, con cioccolato, nutella, amaretto. Pura poesia, non una nota stonata negli aromi che si mescolano in questo capolavoro. Perfetto.
