This was a 5 because of experience. Drank it in Dingle at Dick Macks before snagging a bottle to share with my father at home. More nostalgia than anything else. Can't even tell you what it tasted like. Still a perfect 5
About this bottle
Established in 2012, this release marks the first bottling for Dingle outside of the first single barrel ever filled which sold out immediately at the distillery. It is triple-distilled in their custom pot-stills. The whiskey is aged in ex-bourbon barrels and is non-chill-filtered. Dingle, named for the town they are located on the southwestern coast of Ireland, is a small distillery, producing just two casks of whiskey per day.

The pale colour is not very inviting but it's actually better than it looks. Smooth on the palate, buttery with notes of chocolate and nuts
Bourbon, then Ximenez and Oloroso. Dry, salty, citrus and woody flavour. Long and complex. Absolute favourite.
Beautiful and smooth. Excellent for sipping neat.
