Doc Swinson's 16 Year Exploratory Cask Finished in Madeira Casks

Nose: chocolate, maraschino cherry, caramel. Noses like a box of chocolate covered maraschino cherries. A little butterscotch. Body: light to medium Palate: loads of chocolate, light caramel, barrel spice. Finish: light to medium with faint chocolate and barrel smoke Note: bottle 97 of 273, so thats fun. A little risky paying the big bucks for an unknown quantity but this has the possibility to be very good… don gave me the opportunity to buy so i jumped. Lets see just how far the rabbit hole goes….. nose is chocolate sweetness. Initial thought is light but flavorful with a light kentucky hug some barrel spice and smoke which is nice. This drinks pretty soft maybe about right for the abv. The finish initially was a little more robust though. I like it. Its different i dont think i have anything like it open right now.
