Just finished the bottle. What started out as one of my least favorites became, after 2 years open botle, one of my favorites. What oxidation can do! We just drink our whiskies too young. Let them oxidise! In the cask!
Axis of evil, but Jim Murray gave this one 87 points. Opened yesterday, after one day already improved. Flavor simple, musty, cardboard. Palette much better, wood spices (aniseed, licorice, minty etc.). Finish burns.
After more than a year much improved . Nice liquorice finish. Tropical overripe fruit.
