Cask strength wheated whiskey. I know Welle..what you’re thinking. Holy shit. Welcome to Washington Whiskey. Pretty irresponsible of Dry Fly to make a 130+ proof whiskey that drinks at 110 proof. I guess the rules are different up in the foggy north west. Where do you get off with a top notch nose and vanishing but pleasant finish? The palate is spectacular and uniquely woody to boot. Im appalled. At $55+/- God forbid a novice gets ahold of this and thinks its “run of the mill” or “on the shelf whiskey”. Lock this shit up with the Sudafed. Specialty barrel 7yr 132.8

Nose: mild. Caramel, fresh cut wood, licorice Palate: sweeter side, proof really shines here Finish: berry compote Interesting. Not many flavors to tease out. 4 on the t8ke scale.
Had the 9yr flyday awc 138 proof. This one has a punch but its also one of the smoothest high proofs I have had. Sweet wheaty strong grainy. Enjoy but also dont mess!!!
Was a nice smooth whiskey. Was on a whiskey cruise and when asked where I could buy it the answer was I can’t. Why show a product you don’t distribute locally
If you like WLW, Stagg jr or JD coy hill, you will love this. Early top 5 2022 bourbon candidate
