About this bottle

New Zealand Whisky Collection's Dunedin Oamaru is made from 100% malted New Zealand barley. It was distilled at the Willowbrook Distillery (now closed) in Dunedin on the South Island of New Zealand. It was aged in ex-bourbon American oak for 25 years at the Oamaru cellar. This New Zealand single malt is bottled at 46% ABV.

Had a drop of this when out for dinner. Didn't really blow me away. Got the oak, faint vanilla notes and sweetness. Maybe a case that the bottle had been opened to long as flavour profile was muted. Have to judge on what I taste though. At $240 USD for 700ml bottle equivilent it's a 3.
