This is a straight rye whiskey made from a mash bill of rye and malted barley that is pot distilled. It is aged at least 3 years in new, charred American oak and bottled at 90 proof.

Nose has heavy notes of new car scent. Agree with the other user who said glue. Carries into the mouth with something like a brand new office chair just taken out of the plastic wrap. Fitting for a Grand Rapids product, but not so much for a whiskey.
Neat in a rocks glass at the distillery’s tasting room. Aroma is vanilla and ginger, reminiscent of a Christmas cake. Flavor is largely clove, cinnamon, and citrus. Finish is clean and mildly tannic.
Wins medals but something about the taste isn’t my thing. Maybe it’s truly rye flavor, maybe glue...First taste, will see how it is second time around.
