Tequila El Mayor French Oak Chardonnay Cask Finish Reposado is a limited edition release. It was created by Graciela González, fourth generation distiller and daughter of master distiller for El Mayor Tequila, Rodolfo González. Produced using estate-grown agave, this reposado tequila aged for nine months in French oak ex-chardonnay barrels. Announced August 2018, there are fewer than 5000 bottles available.

Crisp golden color. Aromas of agave, oak, wild berry, and slight vanilla. The front offers a bold citrus agave combination with a great mid palate of oak and fruit. The finish is clean and warm with hints of spice and slightly earthy.
Vanilla, spice, smooth and warm finish, medium long finish, if I can say that. The chardonnay cask comes at the end. Really nice tequila.
