Ellington reserve salted Carmel

A balanced, Flavored Blended Canadian Rye Whisky, made with a combination of 8-year-old column & small batch pot distilled spirits using 100% Canadian heirloom rye & caramel flavor; aged using second-fill American oak casks in the Canadian Rocky Mountain air. It has an aromatic birth with notes of caramel & salt; while a rich & slightly creamy life adds notes of butterscotch; that leads to a delicate & velvety death at sea with notes of sea salt. Def salted caramel on the nose. Full caramel on the taste and light on the salt, which I appreciated since I don't like heavy salt. Could see this being good as a mixer.

Lasting Carmel masks the harshness and the salt is a nice addition
