I somehow had bad expectations for this one as I read a few reviews and they weren't too positive - but wow this is one good whisky! You smell a lot of tart with very heavy port notes from the cask - actually the best smelling whisky I have - and also taste it when you take a sip. A bit of citrus comes through and the aftertaste is pleasant, a bit of sweetness and malt with oak-ey notes. It is quite a spicy whisky, despite it's 7 years of aging it still tastes a little younger in terms of alcohol but the taste is very full and tastes like a regular 12 year old. Very excited about this one!
