A balanced, Japanese Rice Whisky by the Fukano Distillery in Kumamoto, Japan that is a mildly Sherry-influenced version of the Vault Reserve. It has an aromatic birth with notes of fruits, plum & Sherry with cinnamon; while a rich & complex life adds notes of Muscadines, sandalwood, plum, orange, hints of sherry & gunpowder tea; that leads to a long & rich death with notes of spices, port & honey. About this bottle
Fukano Vault Reserve 1 was announced in November 2018 alongside three other limited edition expressions: Fukano Vault Reserve 2, Fukano 6000 and Fukano Jikan. All four limited edition expressions are a combination of whiskies between the ages of 3 and 11 years old. Some of the whisky was first matured in casks and then moved over to be kept in different tanks for up to 16 years to rest. After tasting each tank individually, the brand created four different combinations from the tanks. 5,443 bottles were produced globally and it is bottled at 40.5% ABV.
