[Price is for a half bottle, 375 mL] Good but not outstanding. I get the usual high notes of oak and vanilla, with maybe some honey or something sweet. Not a "heavy" whiskey and no smoke or peat. Very smooth to drink esp. with some ice and a splash of water -- very easy to over-dilute it though so go easy on the water.

Gibson’s Rare (12), Canadian Whisky. 82 pts. This was left behind by a friend that uses it for mix, and I can see why.... I would never have guessed that it’s 12 years old and only 40%. Initial bite has some lasting heat. There’s a coarseness from the rye, with underlying sweet toffee, citrus rind and cloves.
Sweet nose, easy on the pallet, spicey cinnamon finish. Update: having had more whiskeys since trying, amending my initial review to a lower rating for consistency of scale.
Sweet caramel. Easy and soft. Nice to sip on and will try with cola mix. My instincts say this would go really well with ginger ale.
The smoothest snd loghtest yet. Still sweet eith some vanilla and spice but much more subdued than crown or CC.
Light, altho it smells stronger, vanilla and caramel like flavors almost with a floral end
