Is this a good drop? Is the national animal of Scotland a unicorn? The answers are hell no and amazingly yes. Ok it's not terrible but the only thing sadder than a mothballed distillery is a mothballed distillery came back to life for little purpose. I see the 21 year wasn't outstanding either. Think Chivas Regal of which this is a component and you sum up this one's character. Weak, flacid and not a lot going. Still like a blend it's not offensive, no burn or imbalance. 3...just.
About this bottle
Founded during the post-war whisky boom, Glen Keith is rarely seen as a single malt. Most of the production of this Scottish whisky distillery is used for blends like Chivas Regal. Matured in American oak casks, the Glen Keith Distillery Edition is an exception. This is a no-age statement release which is bottled at 40% ABV.

N - light fruits, floral, citrus zest T - orange, light pepper F - very light wood, salted caramel A fine dram even if a bit unexciting. Had this on a vacation in Scotland and brought a bottle home since I’d never heard of it.
Slightly sweet and a little sharp at first, but an easy drinking whiskey. A cheaper, but less refined version of a macallan
Crisp apple and toffee notes - very sweet and smooth.
Very Nice not peaty
inoffensive?
