An intense, handcrafted, Single Grain Irish Whiskey by Glendalough Distillery in Ireland made with corn & malted barley; aged for 3 1/2 years in Ex-Bourbon, then 6 months in Oloroso Sherry casks, then finally it is finished in Madeira casks for a total of 4 years. It has an aromatic birth with notes of rancio, sultana, granola, toffee & pear; while a rich life adds notes of raisin, bran, oatmeal & fresh cut oak; that led to a wine like death of medium length. Green apple, fruity, less dried fried than the double. The madeira is rounding out this whiskey nicely. Much more tannins coming through, nice sharpness to it. Bourbon wood still dominating things.

Super tasty, huge raisin flavor with a nice but not overwhelming wood in the background.
