Cask # 253 A complex, Cask Strength Single Barrel Single Malt Scotch Whisky by Glenshiel Distillery (Loch Lomond Distillery) in Highland, Scotland made from a blend of Highland malts aged 15 years in ex-Bourbon casks before being bottled at a full 108.6 proof by Alexander Murray in California. It has an aromatic birth with notes of warm oats, granola, apple, heather & lemon zest; while a rich & complex life adds notes of stewed fruits, grain, orange zest & a hint of ginger; that led to a long & warm death with notes of chocolate & toffee.
