(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 22 July 2022). Nose: Alcohol, floral, furniture polish, summer fruit Palate: 'Hot', cracked pepper corn, chilli, green apple, lemon, vanilla, light and clean, tropical fruit Finish: Medium long finish. Oak, dark chocolate, souring fruit, sweet oak char, lemon Pledge Quite a hot, young tasting dram. There's a load of sour fruits, black pepper and spices. Sour on the aftertaste. Young and a little harsh. There's some promise in the taste and it might become a decent dram if left to mature a little longer. Not yet ready to my palate. Nose: Light, heather honey, almost neutral. It takes a solid nosing to bring out citrus zest. Edit: Give it 15-20 minutes to breathe and it opens up. Palate: Creamy mouthfeel, caramelised banana, light citrus, peppery heat. Finish: Dried fruits like sultanas, undoubtedly from the sherry cask. A touch of oak.
