Had the pleasure to try this one at a friend’s house. I didn’t even know India has Single Malts. This is a good addition to the International World of Single Malts. It has a light amber color. I don’t know if it’s natural colors or unchilked filtered. The ABV is 46%, which is good! It should deliver more flavors, so here it goes: Nose: The first impression was of orange peels in a lemon grass tea. Lovely nose bringing honey in the mix. Interesting to smell a pleasant tea in an Indian Single Malt. Palate: a bit underwhelming. It’s soft on the palate. Some would say light, so I think it doesn’t deliver on the expectations after the aromas. It’s got a bit of a spice, but I can’t define which. Honey is there, maybe mint. Then the finish is nutty. Dry nuts for sure. Overall, good whisky, easy to sip, good aroma, but soft on the palate. Cheers!
