Heritage Dual Barrel Rye

An intense, Rye Whiskey matured in traditional new, charred American white oak then finished in used oak barrels before being bottled at 92 proof. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grain, wood, herbs & spices; while a rich & bold life adds notes of rye, vanilla & oak that led to a long & hot death with notes of tobacco, cinnamon & nutmeg. Sweet spice smell. Can definitely smell the vanilla. Spicy taste with an aftertaste. Not very refined profile. Not tasting the vanilla like i hoped. Its just ok.

Sweet vanilla note that lies under the rye spice, they go together really well. Long, pleasant tail lets the spice linger.
