Hickory Hill 15 Year Kentucky Unfiltered Cask Strength Bourbon Whiskey

Vanilla and oak are present on the nose which in turn transfers to the palate. Some leather and dark fruits on the palate as well. Not a mouth drying bourbon it coats the palate nicely. I suspect that it’s sourced from Jim Beam. It puts me in mind of some of the 13-15 year Knob Creek Single Barrel store picks I have had. An enjoyable dram!

Poppy stash: Sharp, floral licorice, sustained vanilla oak finish. Potent and delicious, but maybe a bit too straightforward

This was a 50th birthday gift and it is excellent. Very smooth. Sweet on the go and a bit of nice spice at the finish.
