Nose - Honey, dark caramel, ripe apples, pressed apple cider, vanilla Taste - Light smoke, clean but earthy, gentle black pepper heat, dark apple juice sweet, caramel, charcoal Finish - Light earthyness, mineral apple juice, gentle heat/tingle/spice Score - 81/100 Final Thoughts - I didn't know what to expect on this one, but the nose was really pleasant off the bat. It was fairly simple, but quite nice. I think this was the best part of this though as once it hit the palate there was this earthy/mineral quality to it that didn't seem to match with what I got on the nose. There is what I think a very gentle peat influence on this one that turns the otherwise fruity note into a more earthy (clean sand/dirt) fruit. Overall it's a pleasant dram, just fell a bit flat once it hit the palate. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - No Would I buy a bottle? - No NOTE - All reviews are done without factoring in price.
