This is a 117 proof barrel strength bourbon, it does not drink like high proof. It has a very clean smell, with hints of caramel, vanilla and a little pepper. Upon second sip the caramel really comes through followed up with a Smokey flavor and the pepper really hits me at the finish which I really enjoyed. According to the label this is a 6 month old bourbon which I was really surprised, it drinks like a much older bourbon. I’m really looking forward to seeing what this bourbon taste like in a few years.

An intense, Bourbon from South Carolina crafted with a mash bill with a (minimum of 51% corn, a touch of rye & ?) aged in new American charred white oak barres & bottled at 58.5% ABV. It has a delicate birth with hints if grains, wood & spices; while a rich & intense life adds notes of sweet caramel corn, cinnamon, oak, vanilla & pepper; that led to a bold death of medium length. February / August 2022
Aroma is simple, soft and grainy in a way that’s approachable and carries a custard-like sweetness that increases alongside the young woody profile as it opens; Palate, again, is simple and fruity light with a grain dominant profile and raw wood – the two have yet to integrate; Finish is sweet and woody.
Got this at barrel proof, 114, has a rye nose but not overpowering, tastes sweet but not as spicy as the nose would lead me to believe, and goes down nice and warm due to the proof. Pretty good for a 6 month old, I'd love to try it again if they have a barrel aging longer.
Slight sweetness, builds into some nice spice, finishes long and smooth.
A lot of burn going down with this one, a little better on a big cube
