Ichiro's Malt Chichibu The US Edition 2022

Very good. Has loads of mocha, cinnamon, licorice, and chocolate with some grapefruit, honey, vanilla, figs, raisins, and dates. Some liquor stores like Blackwell’s in San Francisco state that the one hogshead used in this whisky was an ex-sherry hogshead on their website descriptions of this whisky.

Minty and pine cone on the palate. The distillate shines through and I can taste the cereal notes. Interestingly similar to a rye.
