J.J. Whitley is the sister spirits brand to Whitley Neill, a gin brand that is arguably one of the first craft gins on the market when it arrived in 2005. Both brands were founded by Johnny Neill and the J.J. Whitley brand is named for his great grandfather John James Whitley. This gin portfolio is inspired by the English countryside where J.J. would have played. J.J. Whitley Violet Gin is made with eight botanicals including juniper, coriander, licorice, and angelica root in addition to the violets. The gin has a violet hue.
