J.P. Wiser's Alumni Whisky Series Yvan Cournoyer

A great release from the JP Wiser's NHL Alumni series. Dark spices mix nicely on the nose with vanilla. The palate is gentle, balanced between caramel and spice with some grain notes and soft apple. The finish is relatively short but enjoyable.

Tasty blend. Nothing particularly stands out. A little numbing on the tongue. Favourite from this line. Messier is alright too. The others range from ok to speed rail.

A bit too bitter for my expectations, you feel a lot of the wood barrel taste. A good aged whisky nonetheless.
