Nose of angelica, mint, root beer, leather, anise, cola, ginger, earth, wood, dark chocolate. Bitter, earthy, woody, herbal on the palate; lots of root beer. Bitter finish.
Some of the weirdest tasting stuff I've ever had, but I like it. Sweet, with black licorice and almonds. Other flavors there as well, but I have no idea what they are...
Clove, allspice, hints of cardamom. Mellow and somewhat sweet, this old Czech recipe is a lovely representative of fernet, and a great contrast to Branca.
