Can I call this whisky a “huge disappointment”? The biggest possible disappointment? I have the Blue Label as a point of arrival, the Blue Label Ghost & Rare Port Ellen slightly below but always excellent, here instead we are on another planet. In negative. A whisky that I would define inconsistent on the nose: it seems to smell fresh air, without particular character, even here the Black Label or the Green wins, which cost more or less 1/10! On the palate a further disappointment: it seems to me to drink a corked wine, with a bitter aftertaste and no signs of smoke, which in the classic Blue Label is an exceptional characteristic. Medium-lasting, spicy and hot finish, not unforgettable. Whisky that absolutely lacks character, with a very cheap flavor. I am an huge JW Blue Label fan, but here the rating is very bad also considering the exorbitant price.

Tropical fruit on the nose, ripe banana, caramel and smoke. Sweet on the tongue, Sherry notes prominent and finishes with peppery and vanilla notes. Lovely to drink - could be a little more complex.
Blended scotch with single malt flavor!
Smooth tastes expensive
